Sydney -> Denver
Written by Administrator

So i hate flying. or so i thought. I've noticed that International trips and trips in propeller driven air-craft aren't too bad at all.

So I get to Sydney Airport and all is good. Got stuck between 2 people on the plane but that's ok. It's only 11 hours ;)

 Next comes the Security Checks. Becuase I was going to America i get both my checked and carry on luggage checked out which is a major pain since i'd already put a security tag on my checked luggage but all is well since i happened to be carrieing a spare on me (don't ask me why i would happen to carry a spare. I don't know but it was handy anyway).

 So all is good and after having to pull my laptop out of the bag, empty all my pockets etc (which is really annoying since the amount of stuff i carry usually), and what not I get through the check point. I Stop in at a news agency to pick up a magazine, and guess what. They sell Lighters at the desk. The same thing you get taken off you at the security check point. Got to love it.

 Anyhow. My flight was delayed by about 30 min which isn't too bad i guess. Through another security screening (so called random but i didn't notice any white guy's getting checked and neither was I), and I was on the plane.

 Lucky for me the 2 people i was sat next to happened to be a couple who were trying to get 3 seats for the 2 of them. So i ended up with the Isle seat which i thought would be good but it didn't work out that way.

Anyway flight wasn't too bad. Didn't sleep which sucked but the movies were ok. Service was nice and the trip itslef was pretty smooth. I've become use to turbulance and even through the worst of it it was fine.

LAX is a pain of an airport. I got the run-around a few times trying to
check into my connecting flight. Ended up using a self service terminal. The Security is worse then Sydney. You have to take your shoes off, your laptop out of your bad, I had to take my ipod out of it's case, and belt off also (didn't register as a problem in Sydney). Anyway after 20 min of getting re-dressed all was well and i waited for my next flight.

The trip to Denver was nice. Got sat in the emergency exit row which ment i had some nice leg room. Also ment that i got to sleep. Flying into Denver was spectacular. The Mountain ranges still had snow all over them so it was like flying over a winter wonderland.
